Saturday Night Movies in the Park, hosted by the Bellefonte Woman’s Club, continues its terrific program of family-friendly movie screenings this week with the beloved 1980s film Back to the Future.

This outdoor screening in Talleyrand is free to the public and will have adoorsa open at 7:30pm, with the movie starting at dusk. All are welcome, and children 12 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.

Back to the Future, directed by Forrest Gump Oscar-winner Robert Zemeckis and written by Zemeckis and Bob Gale, was the highest grossing film of 1985 and was inducted into the National Film Registry, preserved by the Library of Congress because it was judged to be aculturally, historically or aesthetically significant.a Back to the Future stars Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd, Lea Thompson, Crispin Glover, and Tom Wilson.

Back to the Future tells the story of Marty McFly, a teenager in 1985 who accidentally goes back in time in the homemade time machine made by his friend, the eccentric inventor Dr. Emmett Brown. In 1955, Marty runs into his parents as teenagers and inadvertently ruins their first meeting, putting his own future in doubt. Trapped in the past, Marty must put his parentsa timeline back the way it was and, with Doc Brown, figure out a way to get back to the present before itas too late. (www.backtothefuture.com)

This film has been loved by generations of moviegoers and this Saturday is the perfect time to introduce your children or grandchildren to this special movie.

When you arrive for the movie, youall be happy to know that Bellefonte public parking (in lots and metered spaces) is free on Saturday nights. Park your car, grab some food from one of Bellefonteas many great restaurants, and relax in the park as you wait for the movie to begin.

At 8:15pm, tickets will be given out to all attendees for free entry into a random prize drawing just for attending, and at around 8:30pm the prizes will be given away (you must be present to win).

This week the Bellefonte Womanas Club has announced that prizes will include gift baskets with Disney, summer fun, Paw Patrol, and sports fanatic themes, with some gift baskets containing DVDs so you can plan another movie night at home. Theyall also be giving away $25 gift cards to Happy Wrapas and Jimas Italian Cuisine (and maybe you can use those for the next Saturday Movies in the Park)!

There as just one more movie in the park left this summer, Disney and Pixaras 2021 film Luca on August 6th, so donat miss out on this chance for a fun evening with your friends, family, and neighbors.

Pack a blanket or some chairs, and grab a flashlight and some bug spray so you can enjoy the film without a worry. Summer nights in Bellefonte are already pretty magical, and how much more so when youare enjoying a classic comedy under the moon and stars. See you there!
