Saturday Night Movies in the Park, hosted by the Bellefonte Woman’s Club, finishes up its series of movies in Talleyrand Park under the stars August 6th with Disney & Pixaras recent Oscar nominee Luca.

This outdoor screening in Talleyrand is free to the public and will have adoorsa open at 7:30pm, with the movie starting at dusk. All are welcome, and children 12 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.

Luca, directed by Enrico Casarosa and written by Jesse Andrews and Mike Jones, was, according to Nielsen, the most streamed film of 2021. Luca was also nominated for the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. The film stars the voices of Jacob Tremblay, Jack Dylan Grazer, and Emma Berman, along with comedy favorites Maya Rudolph and Jim Gaffigan.

Luca, which is aset in a beautiful seaside town on the Italian Riviera,a is the story about two best friends, Luca and Alberto, who are enjoying aan unforgettable summer filled with gelato, pasta and endless scooter rides.a But the boys have a secret: though they appear human, athey are sea monsters from another world just below the wateras surface.a (movies.disney.com/luca)

Luca is a film about friendship, a coming of age tale about finding out who you are and what you want to be, and it plays out in the emotional and funny ways that audiences have come to anticipate from any new Pixar project.

Public parking in Bellefonte is free on Saturday nights (in lots and metered spaces), so come downtown, park for free, and order some takeout from a terrific Bellefonte eatery to munch on in Talleyrand.

Once youave arrived and found your spot in the park (make sure you bring a blanket or some chairs), youall be given a ticket at 8:15pm for a free entry into a random prize drawing. The prizes will be given out at about 8:30pm, and you must be present to win.

For the final prize drawing, the Bellefonte Womanas Club has announced a fantastic assortment of gifts. Attendees have a chance to win fight baskets with themes including: Toy Story, Despicable Me, Spiderman, Disney, and family movie night. Like the last screening, many gift baskets include DVDs, so you can carry on the tradition of watching movies as a family at home. Theyall also be giving away a $25 gift card and a gift certificate for a free cheese pizza from local favorite Mariaas pizza.

As this wonderful summer series comes to a close, Bellefonte Womanas Club is grateful for the support of the people and businesses of Bellefonte in making this summer series possible. aFirst National Bank provided a grant to purchase the movie equipment while dozens of other organizations have donated funds used to license the movies.
