Come See the Family Classic Jumanji this Saturday, June 25th

After a terrific turn-out on June 11th for Encanto, Saturday Night Movies in the Park, hosted by the Bellefonte Woman’s Club, returns this weekend with the 1995 Robin Williams and Kirsten Dunst film Jumanji.

This free outdoor screening in Talleyrand will have adoorsa open at 7:30pm and the movie will begin at dusk.A All are welcome, and children 12 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.

Jumanji is based on the childrenas book by Chris Van Allsburg, the author of the Christmas classic The Polar Express.A The hit film was directed by Joe Johnston, known for directing Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, and was one of the ten highest grossing films of 1995.

Jumanji tells the story of Alan Parrish, a boy who discovers a magic board game and, upon playing it, is magically transported into the untamed jungles inside of it.A He is trapped there for more than two decades until he is set free by two children, Judy and Peter, who discover the game in their attic.A Judy, Peter, and the grown Alan must work together, along with Alanas childhood friends, to outplay all the dangerous and strange perils the game has to offer.A (https://www.sonypictures.com/movies/jumanji)

The little ones in your life may be familiar with the hit Jumanji sequels that came out in the past five years, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and Jumanji: The Next Level, and now they can see the film that started it all!

Make sure you pack a blanket or some chairs, bring a flashlight to find your way back to your car after the movieas over, and, pro tip, take a little bit of bug spray with you so that you can watch the movie without being bothered.

With the beautiful weather in the forecast, why not make an evening of it by eating at one of the fantastic restaurants in downtown Bellefonte and heading out to the park after the sun begins to dip in the sky.

Talleyrand Park was full of excited moviegoers for Encanto, the film shown two weeks ago, so make sure you get there in time to stake out a plot for you and your family to get a great view of the big screen.
