Year Established: 1862
The first session of the First Presbyterian Church of Bellefonte, built on land given by Dunlop, included Col. James Dunlop, James Harris, Robert Boggs, and James Foster leading a congregation of 50 members. Andrew Gregg Curtin, later became a member of the church as well. Reverend James Linn served as pastor of the church for 58 years, from 1809 until he died in 1868.
