Movies in the Park at Talleyrand is back for another season, startingA June 30 at 8:30 PM! New this year: theA showings will be the same night as Friday in the Fonte, where businesses in downtown Bellefonte stay open later or offer specials to encourage visitors options for after-hours shopping, dining, and entertainment.
After indulging in a pre-show dinner at one of the many restaurants, or getting a special sale at one of the businesses staying open late, stroll down to Talleyrand for a family-friendly movie showing. It makes for a perfect summer Friday evening.

Bring a chair, blanket and flashlight to make the experience comfortable and fun for all. Popcorn and water will be available near the gazebo and an adult beverage garden, as part ofA Friday in the Fonte, will be offered to those interested under the pergola. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

The following is a list of showings for this season:
June 30:A Back to the Future
A 1980s sci-fi classic where California teen Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) is sent to the ’50s when an experiment by his scientist friend Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd) goes awry. Traveling through time in a modified DeLorean car, Marty has to return to his own time and save the life of Doc Brown, among many other tasks.
July 28:A Up
A Pixar Animated film where Carl Fredricksen, a 78-year-old balloon salesman ties thousands of balloons to his house and flies away to South America where he discovers a little boy named Russell is a stowaway aboard.

Sept. 29:A Toy Story
Woody (Tom Hanks), a good-hearted cowboy doll who belongs to a young boy named Andy (John Morris), sees his position as Andy’s favorite toy jeopardized when his parents buy him a Buzz Lightyear (Tim Allen) action figure.
Oct. 27:A Hocus Pocus
After moving to Salem, Mass., teenager Max Dennison (Omri Katz) explores an abandoned house with his sister Dani (Thora Birch) and their new friend, Allison (Vinessa Shaw). After dismissing a story Allison tells as superstitious, Max accidentally frees a coven of evil witches (Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kathy Najimy)

Movies in the Park at Talleyrand was started in 2020 by the Bellefonte Women’s Club with a grant fromA First National BankA along with donations from community organizations. Past films have included Encanto, Grease, Frozen, Doctor Dolittle, Toy Story, Wizard of Oz, and Frozen.
This year,A Downtown Bellefonte Inc.A is organizing the event and has scheduled showings to coincide withA Friday in the FonteA evenings from 5-8, where businesses in the downtown stay open later or offer specials to encourage visitors options for after-hours shopping, dining, and entertainment.
Want to partner with Movies in the Park? Downtown Bellefonte Inc. is seeking interested community clubs or non-profits to partner with them on the four upcoming movie dates in 2023. Those partnerships can allow clubs to fundraise, hit volunteer goals, and more while collaborating with the organization.
