Bellefonte Area School District offers four elementary schools, a middle school and a high school, and was recently lauded for its excellent music program. The Neighboring districts include Bald Eagle Area and Penns Valley. All three districts boast graduation rates above 90 percent and offer vast athletics, academics and clubs.

In addition to seven churches representing all major denominations, Bellefonte is home to St. John the Evangelist Catholic School and Centre County Christian Academy (CCCA). St. John serves students from pre-K through 5th grade, while CCCA offers pre-K through 12th grade. In the past five years, St. John School has grown an unprecedented 39 percent as Bellefonte becomes an increasingly more appealing place to raise a family in Central Pennsylvania.
