William Storm, for whom the property at 250 North Spring was originally built, served as the local barber located under the First National Bank and later in the Bush Arcade. After Mr. Miller moved to Seattle, where he resided until his death, the house passed to other owners. This particular property, unique in design in Bellefonte, reflects many of the architectural elements illustrated in a Turn of the Century Houses, Cottages and Villasa published by The Cooperative Building Plan Association of New York. The oculus windows, asymmetrical gable, corbelled chimney and hipped dormer are all illustrated in this a pattern booka outlining elements used in Victorian homes between 1880 and 1890.
