The Manse constructed by the Presbyterian Church of Bellefonte, located at 201 West High Street replaced the residence of Reverend Dr. James Linn, who served as pastor from 1810 to 1868. His son Judge Samuel Linn, whom Linn Street was named after, was a prominent judge in Pennsylvania. The building, which also housed the First National Bank at one point, is a mixture of architectural styles, including Victorian Gothic, 8th or 9th Century Romanesque, Greek pilasters and even some Egyptian accents, all combined to produce a “picturesque” effect. The building is presently divided into law offices.
