Sitting high above Spring Creek, the Burnside/McCoy house was named Pisgah, in reference to the mountain from which Moses was allowed to view the Promised Land. The house was originally three stories, with the Queen Anne style upper floor added in the late 1890s. The home, its former summer kitchen and servant quarters, now converted into a caretakeras cottage, take up a whole block of landscaped grounds. The 16 rooms in the house have been furnished in period appropriate antiques and all six fireplaces have been restored to working order.
