J. Reed Babcock House

Even though this property was built in an earlier era for Dr. and Mrs. J. Reed Babcock, a Bellefonte physician, the home still reflects the gracious lifestyle of the Victorian era, later in the century. What was once a family home for a flock of Babcock children is now surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens, a pool, and the original carriage house of handmade brick. The interior of the home is furnished with the many eclectic pieces assembled by Dr. Babcock and his wife, including antique clocks, a buckboard seat coffee table, an antique organ, and an 1880 mahogany dining suite com-plete with fine china.
