First Presbyterian Church

The first session of the First Presbyterian Church of Bellefonte, built on land given by Dunlop, included Col, James Dunlop, James Harris, Robert Boggs, and James Foster leading a congregation of 50 members. Andrew Gregg Curtin, later became a member of the church as well. Reverend James Linn served as pastor of the church for 58 years, from 1809 until his death in 1868. By 1895, the congregation numbered
