There are all kinds of reasons to go thrifting. You might be looking for some cool vintage items, you want to spend a little less money than you would at a big box store, or youare just hoping to do some good for your community. At Faith Centreas Thrift Store, you can do all three!

The director of Faith Centre, Nicole Summers, calls it a afun and welcoming place to shop for bargains,a and sheas absolutely right. The boutique and rugged wear sections offer a dazzling array of bargains on designer and brand name items, with items for women, men, and children.

Take a walk through Faith Centre and youall find all sorts of treasures: household goods, books, movies, toys, and jewelry just to name a few. Plus, the Faith Centre thrift store offers weekly sales!

And when you buy from the thrift store, you can take heart in knowing your purchases are a major source of funding for Faith Centreas aid services. These great programs include the Food Bank for the greater Bellefonte area and the Pet Food Pantry for Centre County.

The money you spend at Faith Centre also go to support a clothing voucher program for those in need to shop at the thrift store, and an emergency fund for those facing the unfortunate event of utility termination or eviction.

With a new year, maybe itas time to let go of that shirt or pair of shoes you havenat worn in a while. The wares of the thrift store are made up of donated items, and theyare always looking for seasonal, gently used boutique, footwear, outerwear, and household items. They canat accept computers, exercise equipment, large furniture and older-model televisions.

Faith Centre has been an important member of the Bellefonte community for nearly 20 years, and their work and generosity has made this a warmer and kinder place to live.
