Alison Borkowska: Alison moonlights as an artist, with a particular interest in connecting words to visuals. Much of her work focuses on the idea of visual poetry in the context of urban decay. However, these prints are much more lively. A small series curated for the print gallery, California Bloomin’, come from Davis, California in the years 2008-2012. Living there with only a bicycle, Alison spent much time gazing at the endless growth of the Central Valley while getting around. These few photos were picked up with her dSLR while cruising around the area during that period. Enjoy the artichokes, roses and fruits.
