The Holiday Show & Sale is On!

The beautiful Bellefonte Art Museum for Centre County, housed in the historic Linn House, has as its noble mission, ato showcase and sell works by local artists and to provide enrichment by showing art from around the world as well as art from our own community.a You can see that mission in action in this yearas Holiday Show & Sale.

The Holiday Show & Sale, taking place at the Museum at 133 North Allegheny Street, features the work of 39 local artists this year, with many who have been featured in the show in past years.

Every year the Holiday Show has a new theme, and this year itas aArt is Elemental.a Curator Dotty Ford notes, aEach of the galleries is dedicated to wall art that emphasizes one of the elements of art: Color, Texture, Form, Line, Shape and Value.a Even athe decorations for the theme are works of art,” from artist Gloria Scaltz.

As in past years, the Christmas tree display at the museum is a sight to see. This year the trees are decorated with the themes, aAnimal Print,a “Bellefonte Governors,a aCountry,a aFeeling Magic,a and aMonet Inspired.a Itas a fantastic array of holiday creativity!

The museum staff offers private viewing and shopping for those who are interested. aArt is Elementala is open on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday afternoons through December 19. The participating artists are regularly restocking their inventory, so stop by to look at (and buy) some amazing pieces made by local artists. Youall find wonderful gifts for your friends and family.
