Perfect for that Cup of Joe at Home or on the Go!
This is the sixth article in a series spotlighting some of the local businesses in Bellefonte. When you see the Bees Knees trailer or stop in at their pick-up spot, make sure you ask for a BFT sticker with your purchase (while supplies last). It’s Bellefonte.com’s way of saying thank you for supporting these local businesses and making a difference in our community!
That first bit of warmth on a cold wintera s day. That little pick-me-up that gets you ready to face the world. Wea re, of course, talking about coffee, and how lucky are we in Bellefonte to be home to the first mobile coffee shop and coffee delivery service in Central Pennsylvania: Bees Knees Coffee.
The brainchild of local coffee queen Bromlyn Fitzgerald, Bees Knees Coffee has grown from Bromyln and a 1967 trailer that needed a fresh coat of paint, to 7 more team members only a year later. Ita s a local success story that we can all be proud of! Plus, they support local vendors, using honey from Spring Creek Honey in Bellefonte, milk from Meyer Dairy in Boalsburg, and fair trade, organic coffee locally roasted by Cafe Lemont in Lemont.
Anyone who has had the chance to try some of Bees Knees Coffee at a farmers market festival will tell you about the amazing products they offer. Not just a regular cup of coffee, but also lattes and cold brew, teas like matcha and chai, not to mention refreshing lemonades and iced teas (and Arnold Palmers, if you want to combine the two).
Bees Knees also prides itself on the customizable drinks they have. You can get your beverage just about any way you want it, as they have options for milk (whole, soy, and oat), shots of espresso, sugar, and coffee shop favorite or seasonal flavor combinations. You can have it with classic flavors like mocha, hazelnut or vanilla, or experiment with lavender, rose, caramel or white chocolate. And wea re just scratching the surface here. There are so many more intriguing flavors to try!
